OUR STORY
A special tribute to our parents who migrated from Greece to build a future and in return we celebrate their legacy of family values and love of fine foods. We give thanks to all those who came before us that made the commitment to start a new life in Australia.

We started our journey from humble beginnings in 1991 as a small corner store in beautiful Sandy Bay, Hobart. Today, Blac Fig is one of the most celebrated independent food retailers in Tasmania specialising in locally produced and inhouse fine foods. Our goal is to share the experience and love of great food and wine.

Our extensive range includes homemade artisan gelato, pastries and readymeals, fresh fruit and vegetables,quality meats, and so much more.

We have continuously evolved over the years and grown into a new larger store, providing an online shopping experience and a more extensive product range.
